2015 Sequoia Grove Winemaker Series Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
-
S$13888
Vintage: 2015
Region: Napa Valley
Country: USA
Winemaker Notes
This Cabernet Sauvignon is reddish black in color, and opens with aromas of mixed herbs, dried plum, baking spices, cherry, forest floor, raspberry, and graphite. Bold flavors of cocoa powder, dark chocolate, and cherry cola lead to a broad, flavorful palate, with hints of sweet raspberry, cocoa, coffee, and a long finish of sweet vanilla, chocolate covered hazelnut, and sweet red fruit.
About Winey
Our present-day winery and its 24-acre estate vineyard were part of the original Rancho Caymus land grant given in 1836 to George Yount, the area’s first European-American pioneer. Over the years the property changed hands until it was purchased in 1978 by James and Barbara Allen. The following year, the duo opened a winery in a 100-year-old barn beneath a grove of Sequoia trees, and so Sequoia Grove was born.
