Buying Red Wine Online in Singapore

Red wine is a type of wine that is made from the fermentation of grapes with a natural pigment called anthocyanin. There are many types of red wine, but all have the same process before being ready for consumption. They start as a grape juice and then ferment to become an alcoholic beverage after contact with yeast. The different types of red wine are determined by where they were cultivated and how they were processed. Red wines usually have a deep purple coloration, which is from anthocyanin, as well as tannins from the skins and seeds of the grapes.

Red wines can be made by using different types of grape varieties, including (but not limited to) Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. The flavors vary depending on what type of grapes is used to make it. The most important thing for wine drinkers to know is that they should choose a wine depending on what they like in terms of taste and flavor (e.g., fruity or spicy). The grape that creates red wine is called a "red grape." Red grapes are usually dark purple or deep blue in color, which gives the beverage an intense flavor and color.

Common Questions On Red Wines

Do I need to chill my Red Wine?

Generally, red wines do not need to be served chilled like white wines because they are meant to be enjoyed at room temperature (about 59°F). However, there are some exceptions like Beaujolais Nouveau which needs to be served warm. Some people say that it has the best taste when warmed up because it becomes sweeter

What types of red wines are there?

There are many different types of red wines, but they can be categorized into two main groups: dry and sweet. Dry wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Zinfandel; whereas sweet wines include Bordeaux (including the subtypes Angelus and Medoc).

Tasting of Red Wine

In the article, "Bodied" from the New Yorker from 1996, author Tom Carson describes a wine as being "full-bodied." The taste of a wine can be described as being light, medium, or full. The tasting of red wine is an important part of the enjoyment and appreciation of this beverage. The flavor is a mix of several tastes and aromas. There are a number of factors that influence the flavor and aroma profile.

Different Flavors of Red Wine

Wine has many flavors and aromas. Here are four main categories: fruity, oaky, earthy, and sweet. Fruitiness is the most common type of flavor in red wine, followed by earthiness, with sweetness being least common, and oakiness is next least common. These red wine varieties vary according to the grape used in the wine making process. Some common flavors are: fruity (e.g., raspberry), floral (e.g., rose), spicy (e.g., black pepper), earthy (e.g., mushroom), and smoky (e.g., bacon). Different wineries use hundreds of varieties of grapes for red wine. Of course, depending on the stage of its development, wine drinkers often choose specific flavors, including cabernet sauvignon, which comes from all over the world, with notes of bell pepper, green olive, currant, cassis and black cherry.

What to Pair Full-Bodied of Red Wine?

Red wine with its full bodied, robust flavor, will be pair well with steaks, and meats. The selection of steak, burgers, chicken and pork fit well to robust, complex wines. It is my go to most of the times on special dinner with friends and family. There are a number of types of red wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Syrah, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo.

Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark red grape that originated from France. It has a rich flavor and is often aged for a few years to develop its complex flavors. The cab sav's bold flavor means it can stand up to adventurous sauces and spicy dishes. The pinot noir wine's extremely versatile high acid content pairs well with duck, pork, chicken and mushroom.

Pinot Noir is a light red grape that produces wines with high acidity and fruity notes. Its grapes are grown in several countries, with the most notable coming from France or Oregon in the United States (USA). Red wine, such as pinot noir, merlot will pair well with most foods, including grilled meats and seafood.

Merlot is also light-bodied but it has more tannin than Pinot Noir. It also has fruitier flavors which make it popular among casual drinkers who like to drink wine on the weekend. Merlot leans toward the lighter side with strawberry, cherry and plum notes.

Malbec, a blending wine exudes flavors of chocolate, coffee, sour cherry and spice. Though It’s French in origin, nowadays most of the world’s malbec is now produced in Argentina, you may see often this label. It’s another easy drinking wine, with a deep purple color and plum or cherry flavors, with ending a hint of smoke. It’s full bodied and a crowd pleaser.

Syrah in France and other European countries, and Shiraz in Australia, South America, and elsewhere, this wine can be peppery, spicy and bold with the flavor of rich fruits like blackberry. Pair with a charcuterie plate, because it will play off all the salt , spice and subtle flavors in the cheese and meats.

Sangiovese is known as the biggest redgrape in Italy and is associated with Tuscany—specifically, Chianti. Our wine will make your mouth water as the acids will stick to the sides. You might also taste tobacco, soil, and pepper. There's a whole lot going on with this one!

Nebbiolo is another favorite Italian red wine. It has strong tannins and tons of acid, and it's a tricky wine because the light color, the insane flavor that comes to smash you. It's grown in northern Italy, and is known for the wines Barolo and Barbaresco.
